All-on-X Dental Implant Essendon
All-on-X Dental Implant Essendon: Quick and Effective Full Arch Replacement with Minimal Grafting
The All-on-X procedure replaces all teeth in the upper or lower jaw and can be completed in 3 days. It often avoids lengthy bone grafting by using existing bone at the front of the jaw.
Implants are placed, and a denture is attached on day 3, with final adjustments after 6-8 weeks. While effective, the upper jaw may need five or six implants due to thinner bone.
Consult Dental Essence to explore options and understand the risks, as all surgeries carry potential risks.
Benefits of All-On-Teeth Dental Implant
Benefits of All-On-Teeth Dental Implant
While full bridges and dentures have long been the go-to options for replacing an entire upper or lower set of teeth, All-On-Teeth offers notable advantages:
It offers a robust replacement for missing teeth.
It provides the closest sensation to natural teeth.
Titanium implants aid in bone preservation.
With appropriate maintenance, implants can endure a lifetime.
Most of your natural biting force is retained.
Is All-On-X the Right Choice for You?
Finding an appropriate treatment for missing teeth is crucial. Neglecting the issue can result in jawbone deterioration and various oral health complications. As the jawbone diminishes and gums recede, you may notice alterations in your facial appearance, such as sagging.
Additionally, missing teeth heighten the susceptibility to gum disease, as receding gums create pockets for bacteria to thrive

Treatment Process
Day 1
ALL-ON-X DENTAL IMPLANT SURGERY PROCEDURE
After extracting any teeth, if present, and cleaning out any remaining disease, the jawbone is prepared to accept the implants. These implants are then placed according to the pre-surgical plan, along with any necessary repair or reconstructive procedures. The incisions are closed with dissolvable sutures that will completely dissolve in 7 to 10 days without the need for another appointment to remove them.
The procedure is usually performed under general anesthesia or some form of sedation.
Impressions of the implants are taken through small openings in the gums and sent to the lab.
The stents that were prepared by the lab beforehand are then used for a preliminary fitting to help achieve an optimal arrangement for the next phase of the process.
Day 1 or Day 2
EVALUATION OF THE NEW SETUP
While you relax in a recovery area, the laboratory uses the impressions taken during the surgery to create a new arrangement or setup of teeth in wax. This is usually tried in your mouth a few hours later, although in some cases it might be scheduled for the following day.
During this appointment, any necessary adjustments are made, and before you leave, you’ll have the opportunity to see what your final teeth will look like.

Teeth on 4- Teeth On 6: A Fast and Effective Solution for Full Jaw Restoration
The “Teeth on 4” procedure is used to replace all the teeth in either the upper or lower jaw, typically when the existing teeth are severely damaged by periodontal disease, decay, or heavy occlusion. This treatment is favored for its speed and avoids lengthy bone grafting, often completed within 3 days. The procedure utilizes the front jaw bone, where there is usually sufficient bone without affecting the sinus or lower jaw nerves.
After implant placement, an impression is taken and sent to the lab, with the denture attached to the implants on the third day. While the gums and bone continue to heal, final adjustments are made to the denture after 6-8 weeks.
The lower jaw’s thicker bone can support the denture with four implants, whereas the thinner bone in the upper jaw might require five or six implants to prevent overload failures due to heavy biting. Although the success rate is high, alternative treatments are available. A thorough consultation with Dental Essence is essential to plan and execute these advanced cosmetic procedures.
Bone Grafting
Addressing Bone Shrinkage and the Need for Grafting After Tooth Extraction
After a tooth extraction, the jawbone can shrink over time, potentially reducing the bone volume needed to support an implant. If there is insufficient bone, bone grafting may be necessary to ensure proper implant support, requiring at least 2mm of surrounding bone.
All surgical procedures carry risks. We will provide written consent documentation outlining these risks, and seeking a second opinion from a qualified health professional is advisable.
