As per the instruction of the Australian Health Protection Principal Committee and the Australia Dental Association, Dental Essence is implementing Level 3 Dental restrictions, as per the Australian Dental Association ‘Managing COVID-19 Guidelines‘. These government measures have been elevated in order to continue to protect the health of the Australian population.
Please understand that dental care is now restricted to patients experiencing pain, dental trauma, risk for medical complications as a result of their dental condition.
Our principal dentist, Dr Nathan Phan, will be monitoring calls and allocating emergency care as required.
Patients and staff will continue to be screened for illness symptoms, including non-contact temperature checks. Patients are encouraged to maintain social distancing while in reception and to make use of the available alcohol hand rub at front desk and in each treatment room.
We request, in line with Victorian Government requirements, that our patients continue to wear their face coverings, face masks or face shields while within the practice, removing only for your dental treatment.
You may be asked to wait in your car prior to your appointment, as our team coordinate the number of patients present in the practice at one time. You will be contacted individually should this step be required for your visit.
For patients with any clinical symptoms of COVID-19 including sore throat, persistent cough, high temperature, loss of taste/smell and/or shortness of breath, delaying non-urgent treatment is recommended. We also request that you delay your treatment if you have been in close contact with anyone suspected or tested positive to COVID-19. If you are at all unsure, please contact the practice via phone or email.
Dental Essence proudly maintains the highest levels of infection control and will continue to do so into the future. Our staff are temperature checked on regular intervals every day and have been instructed to isolate should there be any concern regarding any symptoms of illness or contact with known/suspected COVID-19 infected individuals.
Stay safe. Thank you for your patience and understanding in these challenging times. We look forward to seeing you all again soon.
